A: Today we mark the 40th anniversary of the founding of the most influential private education institute in the United States of America. Four decades ago, the founder of our school, Seymour Skinner, opened the first of what would be a large collection of schools. It was dedicated to giving young men and women the technical skills they needed to compete in the modern work force. Over the years, we have seen many changes. In the beginning our most popular courses were auto repair and aircraft maintenance. Now with great developments in computers, our most soughtafter courses involve designing computer software.While many of the courses at our institution have changed over time, our primary duty to the public’s welfare will never change.
A: 미국 내에서 가장 영향력 있는 사립 교육 재단이 오늘로 창립 40주년을 맞이했습니다. 40년 전, 우리 학교의 창립자인 세이머 스키너는 나중에 생겨날 재단의 여러 학교들 중 최초의 학교를 세우셨습니다. 이 학교는 남녀 젊은이들에게 현대적인 산업 현장에서 경쟁할 수 있는 전문 기술을 제공하기 위해 설립된 것입니다. 지난 수십년 간 우리는 많은 변화를 겪었습니다. 초기에 가장 인기 있던 강좌는 자동차 수리와항공기 보수 과정이었습니다. 이제 컴퓨터의 발달로 인해 컴퓨터 소프트웨어 개발 수업이 큰 인기를 얻고 있습니다. 우리 학교의 많은 과목들은 세월의 흐름과 함께 변해왔지만 대중의 복지를 위한다는 근본적인 의무만은 결코 변하지 않을 것입니다.
