Questions 1-3 refer to the following job posting. |
Don't just get a job! Do what you love and get paid!
The Center for Community Partnerships has many opportunities starting at $8.10 per hour through which you can do community service this fall. The organization is a popular community-mobilizing center that focuses on helping socioeconomically disadvantaged families gain financial independence. Volunteers and paid workers help organize and coordinate various life-skills learning activities to instill marketable skills for interested individuals.
Past duties that have been delegated include literacy, math and science tutoring, nutrition and health education, urban gardening, computer education and support, administrative support, after-school programs, computer classes and recreation activities at communities of faith and public schools. Workers can choose which demographic segment they want to work with such as children, whole families, single mothers, reformed drug abusers, etc. Work experience is not necessary, and we only ask that you bring enthusiasm and a bright smile to work!
If you are interested, contact Winnie Mapp at (512) 898-5351. Office hours are between 9:30 and 11:00 in the mornings and 2:00 to 3:30 in the afternoons from Mondays through Thursdays. The office is located on the 10th floor of the Uchoraji Building on DuBois Street and Huntsman Ave. |
