Before looking for an accommodation (숙소를 찾기전에)
Determine where to live, budget, space (Bachelor, A studio or single, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, etc); 어느 곳에 살기를 원하는지, 예산, 어떤 종류의 숙소를 원하는지를 결정해야 한다.
집 광고를 찾을 수 있는 곳: (classified ads of your local paper (지역신문의 항목광고란). Get a list from the related government agency (정부관련기관의에서 발행하는 리스트), shop around, real estate agency (부동산 중개소), bulletin board (게시판), etc |

2. You are looking for an apartment to rent and found the ad on the USA today. Call the landlord, and tell him how you found the ad, and find out if somebody else already rent the apartment.

P.T.: Hi. I’m calling about the two-bedroom apartment you have advertised in the NEWS. Is it still available?
Manager: Yes, it is. Is this for yourself?
P.T.: It would be for my wife and me. Two people. And a cat, if that’s okay.
Manager: It’s all right. We allow cats. But no more than four people. We’ll be showing the apartment this coming Sunday between 2 and 4.
P.T.: Terrific! But can you tell me a little more about it? Does it face the street or is it in the back?
Manager: It’s a top floor unit in the back of a ten-unit building.

1. I’m calling about ~ you have advertised ~: ~에 광고하신 ~ 때문에 전화드립니다. (항상 용건을 시작으로 전화대화를 시작한다.)
2. Is it still available? (아직도 비어있나요?)
3. Animal matters; no pets, pet friendly, cats allowed. 애완동물을 동반하는가의 여부는 때때로 집주인에 따라 큰 관심사가 될 수도 있으므로 미리 점검해야 하는 사항이다)
4. What time do you show the apartment? (아파트를 몇시에 보여주실 수 있나요?)
We will be showing the apartment ~.
* Grammar tips: 미래의 계획 (will be ~ ing, 미래의 내용으로 공손하게 표현하고 싶으면 미래 + ~ ing 를 사용한다.)
5. face; ~를 향해있다. (집이 어느 쪽을 향하고 있는가 이웃은 어떤 사람들인가도 집을 결정 하는데 중요한 요소 중 하나이다.)
This apartment is very noisy because it faces the street. (이 아파트는 거리에 면해 있어서 매우 시끄럽다.)
