Task

1) Where did the student get the ad about the host family program?

2) Tell the program director about yourself with following information.

- You¡¯d like to get some information about the host family program.

- Explain the reason why you want to sign up for the home stay program.

Student: Good morning. I wonder if you could give me some information about the host family program for Thanksgiving. I saw a flyer about it on a bulletin board.

Program Director: Certainly. Have a seat and tell me a little about yourself. Where are you from?

Student: I am from Seoul.

Program Director: Sole?

Student: Korea. Seoul, Korea.

Program Director: Oh, yes, of course. And can you tell me more about yourself, your interests, hobbies, plans, how long you¡¯ve been here, and so on?

Student: I¡¯m a business major. I¡¯ve been here for two years-I am a sophomore-and I plan to return to Korea to work in my father¡¯s business. I¡¯m 20 years old and I live in the dorm. In fact, that¡¯s one of the reasons I am interested in this program. The dorm dining hall will be closed during Thanksgiving break. And if I don¡¯t do something about it, I could starve to death.
