2) Call AAA’s Emergency Road Service; American Automobile Association (AAA 긴급도로서비스에 전화를 한다.)
3) Explain your situation to the agent (상황을 설명)
4) Give him/her your membership number, expiration date, and the location of your car (회원번호, 만료일, 차의 위치 설명) *AAA의 서비스는 회원으로 가입된 경우만 가능하다. |

Linda: Excuse me, but I have a bit of a problem and I was wondering if you could help me.
Store Clerk: I will if I can. As you can see, things are a little dead here at this time of night. What’s the problem?
Linda: Well, it seems my battery is dead, and I need a jump.
Store Clerk: Oh, Bad luck on a night like this! I’m afraid I can’t help you since I don’t have a car. But I am sure that Sally, the cashier in Lane 9, can help you. She’s got a car with an enormous battery that could jump a tank. Linda: Thanks.

1) I was wondering if~: (정중하게) ~해 주시겠어요?
A: I'm wondering if you could come and visit me tomorrow. (내일 저를 반문해 주시겠어요?)
B: I'd love to. (그럼요.)
2) My battery is dead.(밧데리가 닳았어요.)
- I'm running out of battery.
- The battery is gone (flat).
3) Jump
Some of other problems;
- I have a flat tire. (타이어 바람이 빠졌다.)
- My car is broken. (차가 고장났다.)
- I'm stuck in mud. (진흙에 빠졌다.)
4) I'm afraid~; ~이 유감이다.
A: Can you come to my party on Saturday? (토요일에 내 파티에 올래?)
B: I'm afraid I can't. (유감스럽지만 안되겠네.)
A: Can you help me with the assignment? (숙제좀 도와줄래?)
B: I'm afraid I can't help you. (유감스럽지만 안되겠는데.) |
