Task
1) How long does it take for a customer get the answering machine back?
2) You have a problem with Casette/ CD player. Problems are as follows;
- it doesn't play tapes and CDs.
- less than 6 months old.
- But battery is still good.

Salesperson: What did you say the problem was?
Customer: The button that's supposed to erase messages seems to be on vacation. It should beep and rewind, but it does neither of those things. It pays no attention to me when I press it.
Salesperson: That sounds minor enough. I'm sure the company will either fix it for you or send out a new one.
Customer: That's great. And how long do you think it will take? A couple of days?
Salesperson; Oh, no. It's not that simple. It should take a good two to four weeks.
Customer: Two to four weeks? Do you have any loaner?

1) Neither; 둘다 ~가 아니다.
A: What seems to be the problem? (뭐가 문제라고 생각되나요?)
B: It is supposed to beep and rewind, but it does neither of those. (삐소리를 내며 되감기를 해야 하는데 둘다 작동되지 않네요.)
A: Okay, can you tell me what the problem is? (문제가 무엇인지 말씀해 주세요.)
B: I bought two cameras yesterday, but neither works properly. (어제 카메라를 두개 샀는데, 둘다 작동이 되지 않는군요.)
2) Either: 둘중 하나
A: So, we can either fix it for you or give you a replacement. (고쳐드리거나 교환해 드릴수 있습니다.
B: No, I don't like either. I would rather get my money back. (둘다 싫어요. 환불해 가는게 낫겠어요.)
3) Leaving the item for repairs: 수리를 위해 물건 맡기기
A: When will it be ready? (언제 되나요?)
B: It should take more than two weeks. (이주 이상은 걸릴거에요.)
A: Do you think you can fix it? (고칠 수 있을까요?)
B: Yes, but it will take some major repairs. (예, 하지만, 수선이 많이 필요하겠는데요.) |
