2) You are running a shop, and you received a check from one of your customers. Go to the bank and tell them you want to put the check into your account.

Customer: Hi.

Bank Teller: Good morning.

Customer: I’d like to deposit a check into my new savings account, and I’m not sure exactly how to do it.

Bank Teller: Just fill out this deposit slip. Write the amount of the check at the top, and then if you want any cash back, write that on the line at the bottom, and sign the slip. Also, I’ll need your passbook.

Customer: Okay. Here. And if I want a cashier’s check for part of the cash back, do I need to indicate that on the deposit slip?

Bank Teller: No. Just be sure to include that amount when you calculate how much cash you want back.

Customer: All right.

1) Check; cashier’s check, traveler’s check, rubber check (bounced check)

A: I’d like traveler's checks for 5,000 dollars. (5000불의 여행자 수표로 주세요.)

B: Sure. Don’t worry. It’s not a rubber check. (그럼요. 걱정마세요. 부도수표는 아닙니다.)

*rubber check; bounced check (부도수표)의 informal 한 표현.

A: Anything else? (다른 것은 필요한 것 없으세요?)

B: Actually, I need a travelers check for part of the cash back. (현찰 중 얼마는 여행자 수표로 바꿔야 합니다.)

3) indicate

A: When you fill out the form, please, indicate your nationality. (신청서를 작성하실때, 국적을 표시해 주세요.)

B: All right. (좋습니다.)

A: I’d like to have traveler’s checks in different denominations. Do I have to indicate that? (여행자 수표를 여러단위의 화폐로 받고 싶은데 그것을 표시해야 하나요?)
