수표 중 얼마의 금액을 입금하고 나머지 금액을 용도에 따라 현찰이나 수표로 바꿀 수 있다.
cashier's check 은 수신인이나 수신기관을 지정하여 우편등의 수단을 통해 송금 할 수 있으며 분실시에도 걱정 할 필요가 없다. |

Task
1) How much does the customer want to deposit?
2) You received your paycheck of $2,000 from the work. You’d like to deposit $1,500 and cash the rest.

Customer: I’m going to deposit $1100 and keep $300, $100 cash and a $200 check.
Bank Teller: Okay. And while you’re filling out the deposit slip, I’ll start preparing the check. There’s a $15.00 charge for the check, by the way.
Customer: Ouch.
Bank Teller: Do you want to pay that out of your cash back or deduct it from the deposit?
Customer: Oh. I guess I’ll pay for it from the cash back.
Bank Teller: Have you endorsed your check?
Customer: Yes, I have.
Bank Teller: Okay. I’ll be right back… The check is ready. And I’ll update your passbook. How would you like your cash? Twenties okay?
Customer: Twenties are fine.

1) Deciding how much you want to deposit: 얼마의 입금을 원하는지 결정
A: I want to deposit $500 and cash the rest.
B: How would you like your cash? (현찰을 어떻게 드릴까요?)
A: I’d like to cash $500, $100 cash and two $200 checks. ($500을 주시는데요, $100은 현찰, $200은 수표로 주세요.)
B: Okay. (좋아요.)
2) Additional Charge
A: You need to pay $10 fee for the transaction. (송금수수료 $10을 내셔야 합니다.)
B: I want to pay that out of my cash back. (제가 바꾸는 현찰에서 지불하겠습니다.)
A: How would you pay for the charge? (charge를 어떻게 지불하시겠어요?)
B: Please, deduct it from the deposit. (입금액에서 제해 주세요.)
3) Asking about the denominations
A: How would you like your cash? (현찰을 어떻게 드릴까요?)
B: 10 twenties, please. (20불짜리 10개 주세요.)
A: Can you change a fifty for some tens? (50불을 10불짜리로 바꾸어 주세요.)
B: I’m sorry. We only have twenty-dollar bills. (죄송하지만 20불짜리 지폐밖에는 없네요.)
A: Could you break a five? I need some singles for tipping. (5불짜리 좀 바꾸어 주실래요? 팁을 내려면 1불짜리가 필요해요.)
B: Okay. (네) |
