이삿짐센터에 부탁하기 전에 off-peak (비수기)을 파악해야한다. 이에 의해 가격이 많이 변동되기 때문이다. 또한 어느 날짜에 어디로 이사를 가는가에 의해서도 가격은 크게 다르다. 이사하는 곳이 아파트인가 주택인가, 또한 어떤 층인가에 의해서도 가격은 달라질 수 있다. 서비스에는 두가지가 있는데 이삿짐센터의 직원이 짐을 싸고 운반도 해주는 (pack and load) Full services moving service 와 그냥 운전만 해서 실어다만 주는 Self-service moving service 가 있다. |

Customer: I’d like to find out if you could move my belongings-about two rooms worth-on Saturday the 16th, and how much it would cost. Mover: Saturdays are busy, but I can fit you in if it’s under five hours. How far are you going? Customer: Rockdale. Mover: That’s almost an hour driving time. And we’ll have to charge you time for our return trip, plus the trip from our yard to your house. Where do you live? Customer: Right near the east shore of Lake Merle. Mover: Umm. Are these houses or apartment buildings you’re moving in and out of? Customer: It’s a house at either end. First floors in both instances-no stairs. Mover: Okay. Sounds like about an hour in and out time.

A: Any pianos or large appliances? (피아노나 다른 커다란 가구가 있습니까?) B: No. Just household furniture. (아니요. 그냥 가정용 가구인데요.)
A: I’ll move delicate things myself, and I’ll have everything else packed in boxes except furniture. (미세한 것은 제가 옮길 거구요. 가구만 빼고 나머지는 제가 포장해 놓을 겁니다.)
