Certified Mail: Important documents. You can get a return receipt when the addressee (¼ö½ÅÀÚ) receives the mail and signs the return receipt as a proof of receiving the mail. TASK
1) After this conversation, what kind of mail would the customer most likely choose?
2) You would like to send some important documents to the immigration office. Ask the clerk what options they have.
Customer: I also have an important application packet to send.
Clerk: Where¡¯s it going, overseas or domestic?
Customer: Oh, it¡¯s going to a testing center back east. Domestic. And it doesn¡¯t have to get there for a week.
Clerk: Priority mail should be sufficient for that.
Customer: Oh. Well, I think I'd like some kind of verification that it has been received. I don¡¯t want it to get lost under any circumstances. Do you provide verification with Priority Mail?
Clerk: No, sorry, we don¡¯t. In this case you might want to send it ¡°certified¡± with a return receipt. You¡¯ll receive a signed notification that it has been received. It is also traceable through a code that goes with it.
