2) Ask the local paper ads sales rep about rates. Tell him you want to start the ads for two days starting from this Thursday.
Sales Rep: Tribune classified. Mary speaking.
James: I¡¯d like to place an ad for a moving sale. Could you tell me your rates, please?
Sales Rep: Sure. We have a three-day minimum and we normally run the ads Thursday through Saturday, but you can choose any three days you want. It¡¯s $5.88 per line for three days, then $3.94 per line after that.
James: I guess Thursday through Saturday would be fine. It¡¯s a weekend sale.
Sales Rep: When did you want to run the ad?
James: Next week.
