Task

1) Does the student like the family with cats?

2) Tell your program director that you want the family that has any children under 10 years old. You would rather quiet life.

Program Director: After I interview you, I¡¯ll give you an application to fill out and we¡¯ll try to match you with an appropriate family. We need to know things such as whether or not you smoke, if you¡¯re a vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions, how you feel about pets, what kind of American food you like, and a little about your family background and interests.

Student: I see. You mean if I say I like cats and Mozart, you won¡¯t send me to a family with three teenagers in a rock band and a big dog.

Program Director: Exactly. Do you like Mozart, by the way? I¡¯ve got several candidates for you if you do.

Student: I sure do. I¡¯m minoring in music and I sing in the university chorus. But I¡¯m allergic to cats.

Program Director: No problem. Just fill out this form and return it to the receptionist.
