Picking up tickets at a theatre

(Ticket Pick-Up)

Picking up tickets: by mail(handling charge가 추가 될 수 있다) or at the door (극장 매표소) 매표소에서 티켓을 받을때 좌석배치(seating arrangement)를 확인 할 수 있다.

Task

1) What is the unexpected problem for the customer to come across at the counter?

2) You are at the theater to pick up the tickets. Ask the employee at the counter about your seating arrangement.

Customer: I’d like to pick up some tickets.

Employee: Last name?

Customer: Loren. That’s L-O-R-E-N.

Employee: Ralph?

Customer: Yes.

Employee: Here you are. That was three tickets.

Customer: Yes. Would you mind telling me exactly where they are, please?

Employee: Not at all. If you look at this seating arrangement here, you can see they are on the left side in the rear of the mezzanine. They are good seats, but a little far away. You might want to consider renting binoculars.

Customer: Binoculars?

1. I’d like to pick up ~ ; ~를 가져 가겠습니다.

Q: How would you like to pick up your ticket? (표를 어떻게 받기를 원하십니까?)

A: I’d like to get the tickets by mail. (우편으로 받기를 원합니다.)

2. Would you mind ~ing?; ~ 하셔도 괜찮겠습니까?

Q: Would you mind sending me tickets by mail? (우편으로 표를 보내주시겠습니까?)

A: Not at all. Can I have your address? (그럼요. 주소를 주시죠.)

3. Seating arrangement: 좌석배치

*mezzanine: 극장의 중 이층. 정면좌석

I’d like to pick up some tickets.
