Talking about money matters (돈에 관련한 대화); 대화상대에게 시간 당 얼마를 줄지를 확실하게 결정하는 단계이다. 쭈볏쭈볏 할 필요없이 확실하고 명확하게 결정짓는 것이 좋다.

Task

Min-ho: Well, I’m not really sure. How much are you asking?
James: Hmm. In order for it to be worth my while, even though I really want to do it, I would need to get at least $15.00 an hour.
Min-ho: That sounds fair. Shall we get together and see if we might be able to work something out?
James: I’m game. When’s good for you?
Min-ho: well, how about 4:00 tomorrow Wednesday? James: Perfect.

1) How much are you asking?; 얼마를 생각하고 있나요?
Q: How much are you willing to pay? (얼마나 주실 용의가 있습니까?)
A: I’m willing to pay $15 per hour. (시간당 15불씩 드릴 용의가 있습니다.)
2) fair; 정당한
He offered me a fare price for my stamp collection. (그는 나의 우표수집품을 재가격에 쳐주겠다고 제안했다.)
A: This car's in perfect condition and is worth at least $ 1800. (이 차는 완벽한 상태이며 적어도 $1,800의 가치는 있습니다.)
B: Fair enough. I’ll give you $1850. (그정도면 적당하네요. $1,850 드리지요.)
3) When shall we get together?; 언제 만날까요?
